Spring Concert - "Wings of a Dove"
‘Wings of a Dove’ presented works by German choral composers of the 19th century, including Mendelssohn’s evergreen ‘O, for the Wings of a Dove’, Brahms’ deeply intellectual ‘Geistliche Lied’, and Beethoven’s outburst of joy, the ‘Hallelujah Chorus’ from ‘Christus am Olberge’. There was also Schumann’s ‘Zigeunerleben’ and Rheinberger’s ‘Stabat Mater’.
